Practitioner Diploma Course
Hypnosis has long been recognized
by the medical sector that it has healing effect, especially on changing
bad habit, eliminating fear, increasing self-confidence, relieve emotional
anxiety, and healing psychosomatic illnesses, hypnotists can also
stimulate client's potential through hypnosis, increasing client's
self-confidence. During hypnosis, a hypnotist directs the client to
enter the state of hypnosis, acting as a bridge between client's conscious
and sub-conscious, he seeks to achieve client's goal of this hypnotherapy
by communicating with client's sub-consciousness. It seems that the
job of hypnotherapsit is very difficult, in fact, as long as you take
a 1-year hypnosis course, you can all become a professional hypnotherapist.
Local courses usually focus more on
skills than therapy
The principal of Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, Mr. Lien
Zun, was originally clinical hypnotherapist, and was always asked
by his clients whether he would organize course and teach. Gradually,
he discovered that there were a large number of people who were interested
in hypnosis in the market reflecting that the market was unable to
satisfy all demands. “I know that there are courses organized by some
organizations mainly focusing on hypnosis skill, and the teaching
period was rather short; after graduation, the graduates only know
how to hypnotize a person, but have no idea on how to heal those being
hypnotized. Many learners want to help others with the knowledge of
hypnosis, they also want to help themselves too, so I organize 1-year
therapy-oriented Professional Practitioner Course.”
Rene Lien said, starting from July 2002, the
Institute's curriculum has conducted to its third batch, the enrollers
aged ranging from 20 to 50 , and the professions among them include
nurse, practitioner of Chinese medicine, social worker, counselor,
manager, accountant, human resources officer, marketer, businessman……
from all sorts of professions. As long as you are interested in hypnosis
and even want to become a hypnotist, you are welcome to enroll.
People with bad intention are not considered
Rene Lien mentioned that nowadays the demand for hypnotherapists is
much higher than that in the past, anyone who face with unsolved psychological
problem can ask for the help from hypnotherapist. Under the current
economic situation, he believed that hypnotherapists must have a considerable
business achievement; it was not surprising that many people from
different professions came to register for hypnosis course. Nevertheless,
whether the course is offered to you is dependent on the decision
of the Principal, Rene Lien. “I only admit 10 students each time so
as to ensure a good teaching quality, but owing to the number of application
always exceeds the quota of admission, so all applicants have to attend
a selection interview.” He continued to say, “I will talk to the applicant
to realize their personality. There are three words on our institute's
badge ‘Virtue, Honesty and Benevolence’, if I discover that what applicant
has done or his / her motives of learning hypnosis differs from our
institution's vision through the dialogue, I would not consider his/her
application.’
Pay attention to both theory and practice
Selected students will mostly learn theoretic concept on hypnosis
during their first 4 months studies. Four months later, the curriculum
will focus on both theory and practice. In the last two months, it
will shift to practicum mainly. As for theory, besides hypnosis, it
also includes psychological analysis, and psychological counseling.
The subjects for the practicum are the volunteers and the clients
who are willing to become the subject. The whole process of practicum
would be recorded for use of analysis after lesson.
Graduates are eligible for license
When students complete the course satisfactorily (pass in all practices,
exams, and tests), they will receive the diploma issued by the Institute,
this diploma obtains the approval from Association for Professional
Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, in the meantime, they will automatically
become the member of Hong Kong Guild of Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist,
they can also register as licensed hypnotherapist.
Professional Practitioner Course

Qualification for admission: pass the selection interview
Course's content: what hypnosis is, the development
and the history of hypnosis, the analysis of sub-consciousness's structure,
hypnosis skill, the overview of past-life hypnosis, finding out the
underlying cause of the problem, illness and other physiological symptoms,
dealing with anxiety and nervousness, understanding people's personality
traits, analysis of the causes and the underlying cause of problem
Professional qualification: after completing the
course and passing the exam, students will receive the diploma issued
by the Institute, this diploma obtains the approval from Association
for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, in the meantime, they
will automatically become the member of Hong Kong Guild of Hypnotherapist
and Psychotherapist, they can also register as licensed hypnotist.
